From the 25th to the 30th of May, the artist ADD FUEL will create a large mural on the side wall of the Mar d’Estórias building in Rua Lançarote de Freitas in Lagos.
This initiative is the result of a partnership between LAC – Laboratório de Actividades Criativas, Cultural Association, and Mar d’Estórias, which aims to give a new life to the wall of the building and contribute, above all, to the promotion of urban art in Lagos city.
The already recognized work of ADD FUEL focuses on the reinterpretation of Portuguese tiles through the technique of stencil with contemporary graphic details.
ADD FUEL is the Portuguese artist and illustrator Diogo Machado. Graduated in Graphic Design, he has participated in several urban art events and presented his works, in collective and individual exhibitions, taking Portugal with him around the world.
From LAC, over the past few years, Lagos has received a roadmap of urban art of reference, accessible to all who want to visit, now gaining a new work of art on the side wall of an iconic space, multidisciplinary and 100% Portuguese. This partnership will result in a mural with an area of approx. 100m2 (20m x 5m), which will bring a new life to the street Lançarote de Freitas.
